What have I done for others?
As a wedding photographer
I have shot engagement pictures
in the studio and on location,
pre and post wedding ceremony
activities including the bride
preparing for her special
day and the reception festivities
and, of course, the wedding
ceremony events. My contract
has an extensive list of the
types of wedding images most
desired by clients and I make
all the necessary arrangements
for on location photo shoots
including contacting city
officials or managers, making
appointments, and obtaining
location site permits when
needed. I have prepared photo
shoots on the beach, in the
park, at clients’ homes,
that special someplace that
makes them feel, well, special,
and regardless of the location,
I am there to make your photos
the ones you will be delighted
with for years.
Sometimes photo shoots require
the photographer to be on
site very early in the morning,
such as the bride preparing
for her special day, and stamina
throughout the evening, as
with the wedding reception
activities. I am an early
riser so no time is too early
for me to be on site to capture
those special moments and,
when I am shooting, I am filled
with energy, so no time is
too late for me to continue
capturing those extraordinary
events. One of my favorite “photo
ops” is the reception
when everyone tends to be
more of themselves. My photojournalistic
instincts kick in allowing
me to capture those special
moments when guests truly
express themselves. This is
also the perfect opportunity
for me to capture photo narratives
- a series of shots that tell
a story which happen only
once in a lifetime, but in
pictures, will fill a lifetime
with wonderful memories.
Portrait photography is another
area I have studied and shot
quite extensively. Whether
it is a family portrait or “head
shots” for up and coming
actors, portrait photography
is always as unique as the
individuals involved. I strive
to create an interactive environment
where the essential elements,
the person or persons being
photographed, the physical
environment, and me, the photographer,
work together to capture the
essence of my subject for
my clientele.
Advertising photography is
a field of photography I am
relatively new to, but as
I have had the pleasure of
having several opportunities
to explore this area, I find
it is not unlike the areas
I have formally studied. Advertising
photography, I find, is a
combination of portraiture,
photojournalism and architectural
photography. Taking into consideration
my clients’ needs, whether
it is a friendly face welcoming
guests to their family restaurant,
an inspiring shot of their
place of business or the ever-so-prevalent
CEO portrait, I draw on my
technical and personal skills
to fulfill my client’s
needs.
In the last couple of years
I have had the wonderful experience
of being able to traveled
extensively and photograph
many special moments and places.
